Two brand new certifications by SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and passed both: Advanced Mold Tools and Weldments Functionality

Another CSWP certification: Rob has successfully passed the CSWP-STML exam and is now a Certified SolidWorks Advanced Sheet Metal Specialist too.

The designcontest prizes have arrived! SolidWorks Corporation shipped two very big boxes full of MegaBrands toys. They have been donated to the Ronald McDonald house in The Hague. As many families travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children, Ronald McDonald Houses offer families a way to stay together in proximity to the treatment hospital.

Next to the CSWA and CSWP-CORE certification exams, Rob has successfully passed the CSWP-SURF exams and is now a Certified SolidWorks Advanced Surfacing Specialist too.

At SolidWorks World 2009 in Orlando, the winner of the Mega Brands iCoaster designcontest was announced. Rob won the Grand Prize in this contest with no less than three new exciting stunt ideas for the Mega Brands iCoaster toy series. The jury: "It was an easy decision based on the modeling, animations, and the thought put into the submission."

Rob's Burton Elementz was the main presentation model at the international SolidWorks World 2009 event in Orlando, Florida. With previews into the future of SolidWorks, speakers like Richard Branson, 4500 highly motivated attendees, numerous of workshops and presentations it definitely was a week full of inspiration. See you at SolidWorks World 2010!

Rob is still waiting for a real zero emission car. But meanwhile, he and his legendary classic Volvo 145 have joined BK Eco LPG climate neutral driving.

After winning the Dutch designcontest, the Burton Elementz strikes again! At the third day of the SolidWorks World '08 conference in San Diego, the winners of this year's designcontest were announced. A refreshed and rerendered model of the Elementz won the first prize in this international contest.

After two exciting election rounds with almost 60 designs, the Burton Elementz was chosen by both the professional jury and the public to be the grand winner of the Dutch designcontest.
From now on you may find Rob conquering the roads in his brand new and stylish Burton. I want to thank Burton Car Company and SolidWorks Holland for this fantastic prize, and a very special thanks to those who voted for the Elementz!
